Click here for the waiver: COVID-19 WAIVER Print, sign and bring to your first class

Social Distancing/Disinfection:

  • Class sizes are limited to a ratio of 8 students: 1 instructor.

  • The lobby and lounge areas will be closed until further notice.

  • The instructor will come to the entry door of the building when it is time for the next class to enter.

  • The studio will have designated areas for each student to dance in that will be properly distanced from one another and the instructor.

  • Air will be constantly purified with a professional filter in the dance room during class hours.

  • The studio will be deep cleaned and disinfected weekly (in addition to daily disinfection between each class).

Masks:

  • Students, 6 years & older, must wear a face mask in the studio at all times, per Michigan regulations. Mask breaks will be given when needed. BAHS understands there are exceptions for medical conditions, please communicate with the studio director should this be the case.

Closings/Cancellations/Payments:

  • BAHS has a projected start date of September 7th. Please be aware that this can change dependent on state regulations.

  • Dual and full season payment discounts are not available this season due to the possibility of unexpected cancellations caused by Covid-19. All tuition must be paid using the monthly option. BAHS reserves the right to alter the season schedule at any time.

  • Payments should be made online when possible. Any payment being made in-person at the studio will need to be given to your student to bring in with them. Student should follow the "When You Arrive" procedures below, upon entry, and place the payment in the black box. On-site payments should be made for exact amounts; no change will be given. Payment can also be made by mail (see "Tuition Payment" policy).

Before You Arrive:

  • Parents must screen their student to ensure they have shown no signs of fever, cough, shortness of breath or other symptoms of illness within the last 7 days. If they have shown any of these signs, do not send them to class.

  • Students that have been exposed to someone that has tested positive for Covid-19 may not attend class for 14 days from exposure or as directed by a physician.

When You Arrive:

  • Students should arrive on time for class. Class will start 5 minutes after the hour. Students who arrive early are not permitted to wait inside the studio at this time.

  • Students must wait outside the building until the instructor comes to the door to welcome them, only after the previous class has exited. BAHS families should practice safe social distancing or stay in their vehicles while outside the facility waiting to enter.

  • Only students will be allowed into the studio at this time. Please discuss this with your dancer before arriving at BAHS so they are prepared to leave you at the door and do not get upset. Exceptions may be made for the 3-5 year old students. Please discuss any issues with the studio director.

***By bringing your dancer to class at Bethany Ann Hellen Studios, you understand and agree to the risk involved and do not hold Bethany Ann Hellen Studios responsible. While we will do our best to keep proper social distancing, it may not always be feasible. We will continue to enforce good hand sanitation, cough etiquette, cleanliness and sanitation when this distancing is not feasible, as the Governor & CDC require.

*All protocols/procedures are subject to change

Dress Code- Dress code is mandatory and imperative so that the instructor can observe the body alignment, technique & movement of the student. Repeated failure to comply with appropriate dress code may result in student being asked to sit out of class. Student MUST have appropriate shoes for class, socks are dangerous and unacceptable as an alternative to shoes.

Tuition Payment- Monthly tuition is split into 9 equal payments for the 36-week dance season and is due the first week of each month from September through May. For the Dual Payment option, tuition is split into 2 equal payments: 1st installment due the first week of September/2nd installment due the first week of January. The Full Season Payment must be paid in full the first week of September. All payments can be made to “BAHS” and put in the black payment box at the studio. Payment can also be made online in the parent portal (merchant fees apply). If the studio is not open when you need to remit payment, you may slide it under the door or send to:

B.A.H.S.

2 Ontario St.

Montreal, WI 54550

Late Payment- A fee of $15 is directly applied to accounts if tuition payment is not received after a grace period of the 15th day of the month in which it is due. This also applies to payment for costumes. (See Costume Payment policy)

Registration Dues- There is a $10 registration fee per student ($5 for each additional family member). The fee reserves space for the student. This charge is non-refundable and must be paid with registration.

NSF checks- A $20 fee is charged for all returned checks.

Private Lessons- If a student needs individual help with a teacher to work on technique or choreography, private lessons are available. Lessons are $30 per hour. Payment is due before the lesson begins.

Costume Payment- All costume payments are due in full the first week of December. A fee of $15 is directly applied to accounts if payment is not received after a grace period extended to December 15th. If costume payment is not made in full before Christmas break, it will not be ordered. Dance costumes can take months to come in, so they must be ordered before January to assure they arrive on time for performances. Additional class costume orders will not be made. If a student does not have the appropriate costume, they cannot participate in performances with their class. There are no refunds on costumes as they are non-returnable.

Costume Exchange- You may exchange costume sizes if necessary, but you will be responsible to pay a $15 restocking/shipping fee. Students sizes are posted at the studio after measurements are made, and you may review and make any changes needed.

Class Cancellations- All classes cancelled due to weather conditions, teacher absence or other unexpected circumstances, are attempted, but cannot be guaranteed, to be made up. Class cancellations do not always coincide with school cancellations. Unexpected or last-minute cancellations are sent out via text message.

Withdrawal- If a student needs to withdraw from a class, you must give proper notification and drop the class via the parent portal or sign a withdrawal slip. If proper drop procedure is not followed, you will continue to be billed and are responsible to pay for all charges until it is done so. If a student withdraws from classes anytime during a billing month, you are responsible to pay for the entirety of the month's tuition. Dance is unlike other sports in that each student has an individual part in choreography and cannot be replaced. When enrolling in dance, you are making a commitment to the rest of the class. In the case of a student’s withdrawal, all choreography must be adjusted, thus affecting the rest of the students in that class.

Refunds- Bethany Ann Hellen Studios, Inc. is not entitled to refund any tuition or fees. Dual or full season payment discounts, costume payments & registration fees are non-refundable. There are no refunds for classes missed due to your own absences.

Absences- In order for every student to receive the most out of class, attendance needs to be taken seriously. Missing classes means missing a large amount of material that will not be taught again. Absences also cause the other students in class difficulty due to formation placement and choreography that is dependent upon the absentee. In the case where an absence is unavoidable, please notify the studio ahead of time.

Drop off & Pick up- All dancers need to arrive on time for class. Walking in after class has started is distracting to the students &/or instructors. Please do not expect the studio to be open more than 15 minutes prior to or after class. BAH Studios is only responsible for students during their class hour. BAHS is not responsible for children in the back room, lobby, or outdoors, as instructors are in the dance studio teaching. Please provide adequate supervision. If you are going to be late before or after class, please notify the studio.

Recurring Late Pick-Up- You will be responsible for a childcare fee of $1/minute after 15 minutes if late pickups are a common &/or recurring issue.

Studio Etiquette- Studio rules are posted and directed by instructors, and are expected to be followed so classes run smoothly and all students are able to learn in a safe & positive environment. If continued lack of respect for the studio rules, instructors or other students occurs, a parent will be notified and the student may be removed from class. Only students are allowed in the dance studio during class times. Family &/or friends must remain in the lobby or back room. No cell-phones (unless instructor-approved for recording purposes), food or drinks (with the exception of clear bottled water) are allowed in the dance studio- they must be kept in the lobby or back room. Please respect the studio space by cleaning up after yourself and conducting yourself in a manner where things will not be broken or ruined. Any student &/or family member/friend guilty for damage to the studio, may be responsible for payment or replacement of damaged item.
